AAOC maintains twelve mission-qualified aircraft types grouped by operational purpose.
| Division | Aircraft | Primary Role |
|---|---|---|
| Combat Air | F-16C, F-15E, F-22A, F-35A | Air superiority, escort, and tactical strike |
| Strategic Strike | B-1B | Long-range precision strike |
| Global Reach / Air Mobility | C-17A, C-130J, KC-135R, KC-46A | Strategic lift, tactical lift, and aerial refueling |
| Rescue / Personnel Recovery | HC-130J, HH-60W | Recovery command-and-control, refueling, and rescue |
| Rotary Operations | MH-139A | Rotary-wing support and security scenarios |
Each fleet type has an active AAOC type rating. Pilots should complete division training and receive the applicable qualification before accepting a tasking in that aircraft.
The operations system includes one active launch aircraft for every fleet type. Additional tails can be added as membership and mission tempo grow.
